This is a painting of Spiddal pier, with two curraghs, it's one of my favourite places to go for walks.
If you go to the end of the pier you can see the Aran Islands in the distance.
The curragh is a type of Irish boat with a wooden frame, over which animal skins or hides were once stretched,
though now canvas is more usual.
