Gone fishing- Ag Iascaireacht
This painting is of the old pier (an tSeancéibh)
in Spiddal.
I've named the painting ' Gone fishing' simply
because that morning as I was taking
photographs, the fisherman who owns the van
parked on the pier was getting himself ready to
go fishing.

Art by Caroline
Inspired by the beauty that surrounds her on the West coast of Ireland in Connemara
This is a painting of Spiddal pier, with two
curraghs, it's one of my favourite places to go
for walks.
If you go to the end of the pier you can see
the Aran Islands in the distance.
The curragh is a type of Irish boat with a
wooden frame, over which animal skins or
hides were once stretched, though now
canvas is more usual.
